SECTECH sikkerhedsmesse

James McHale

I 2020 vil markedet for Internet of Things i smarte bygninger have en værdi på 181 milliarder dollar.

10.00 Sikkerheden i Smart Cities

Martin Tom-Petersen

Taler: Martin Tom-Petersen, Client Director & Partner, Smart City Catalyst.

10.30 Truly Smart Cities must be Safe, Secure and Resilient

Glen Dale

Only when communication, energy, safety, security and mobility of goods and people function seamlessly, cities can offer their citizens quality of life and a flourishing economy. For city planners, the answer to these challenges is the “smart city.” The foundations are uniform standards for intelligent, secure and resilient infrastructure solutions. The exploding population is rapidly driving cities to their limits with respect to energy supply, security, digital communication, transportation and traffic. The concept of the smart city provides one answer. Its primary mission is to distribute existing resources efficiently. Networking individual supply systems through technical solutions should enable cities to respond dynamically to temporary demands, thus preserving their functionality.

Ny rapport “Privacy & cyber-physical security in EU cities”

Cities around the world are facing urgent privacy and cyber-physical security threats that will change how they are working with Smart and sustainable solutions. Meanwhile, cities in the EU are confronted with new regulations that will force the processes and systems that control data at a city level to be changed and redesigned. In this report, Smart City Catalyst addresses the lacking knowledge of how cities are currently approaching these realities and provides basic guidelines and recommendations for city actors interested in improving cyber-physical security and upholding the privacy of citizens.

Can you build a smart city in 5 years

We live in a time of rapid change and progression, with more than half of the world’s population living in urban areas. We are faced with a multitude of challenges that will demand that we change the ways we produce and consume, the ways we administer and organize, and ultimately the way we live and interact as a species. But the imminent challenges we face are many times more locally variable than one first might presume.

Realizing what current state you are in will help you with the starting point of the transformation and with the ability to identifying the challenges that are relevant for you
